1. Welcome to phrodia

phrodia helps you choose photos with confidence through structured feedback from other people. Dating, Social, Business and Fitness tests each explore three qualities relevant to the impression you want to make. Individual insights, an overall score, optional comments and conversations help you put that feedback into context.

These terms govern use of the phrodia website, mobile and web apps, and shared rating services. The provider is Marsrock, owner Pascal Maurice Philipp, Feldmochinger Str. 217b, 80995 Munich, Germany. Contact: info@phrodia.com. Further provider details appear in the Impressum.

Your agreement to these terms covers your use of the service. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected. The Community Guidelines explain participation standards; the Privacy Policy explains personal-data processing and your choices.

2. Your account

phrodia is for people aged 16 and over. Provide accurate account and age information and keep it current. Use your own identity and maintain one personal account.

Sign in with Google, or Apple on iOS, using the options available in the app. Protect your sign-in credentials and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. Your responsibilities for account activity are governed by applicable law.

Individual features may have stricter eligibility rules. Current API photo tests retain an 18+ eligibility requirement, and the photo-content restrictions in the Community Guidelines continue to apply.

3. Photo tests and feedback

Choose a test and audience, review the credit cost and submit an eligible photo. Other participants answer the three prompts; phrodia combines those responses into a score from 1 to 10 and provides the available insights.

Feedback reflects people's impressions of the photo in the selected context. Use it alongside your own preferences when choosing a profile photo. The timing and mix of responses depend on participation and audience settings.

Shared links, QR codes and rating codes let people contribute through a browser. People who receive or are forwarded a link or code can access the shared photo and associated results. In-app audience filters govern community distribution inside phrodia; sharing gives you an additional way to invite feedback.

4. Respectful participation

Use phrodia lawfully and considerately, following the Community Guidelines. Upload only material you have the right to share and obtain permission from other adults pictured.

Keep photos, comments and conversations free of nudity, sexual content, minors, harassment, discriminatory content, graphic violence, unlawful activity, privacy violations and spam. Bots, coordinated or purchased rating manipulation, reward abuse, unauthorized access and harvesting other users' information are prohibited.

Respect intellectual property and the service's operation. Any restrictions on copying, modifying or reverse engineering the software apply subject to rights that mandatory law permits.

To report a photo, use Report and select the relevant category. For other concerns, including copyright matters, email info@phrodia.com with enough detail to identify the content and explain the concern. Include your contact details and evidence of your rights where relevant.

Automated image checks and review by authorized administrators support moderation. We may remove content or restrict an account where needed to address violations, security concerns or legal obligations. The response takes account of the circumstances and seriousness of the concern. Where required, we explain the decision and available review options.

For a review, email info@phrodia.com with your account identifier, the decision and relevant context. Good-faith appeals are welcome, and your statutory remedies remain available.

5. Your photos and content

You retain the rights you hold in your photos, comments and other contributions. By submitting content, you grant phrodia a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to host, process and display it as needed to provide the features you use. This includes preparing thumbnails or compressed images, delivering feedback, displaying content to the relevant audience and making shared content available through your sharing choices. Service providers may process the content for these purposes on our behalf.

This permission lasts for the period needed to provide those features and complete applicable deletion or retention processes. The Privacy Policy explains data retention. You can manage or delete your photos through the app.

phrodia's software, branding and original site content remain the property of their respective rights holders. Third-party assets retain their applicable notices and licence terms.

6. Credits & Wallet System

6.1 Credit types

Earned credits: awarded for eligible participation, including ratings and comments. The app shows the applicable rewards, daily earning allowance and expiry. The daily allowance measures credits earned, rather than a fixed number of photos rated.
Bonus credits: non-expiring promotional credits, including eligible referral and external-rating rewards. Conditions for a reward are shown in the app. Some activities described as a bonus award expiring earned credits; check the credit type in your balance details.
Purchased credits: obtained through the available in-app packages. These have no scheduled expiry while the account remains active.

Credits are used within phrodia and are not a cash balance. The app uses available earned credits first, then bonus credits, then purchased credits.

6.2 Using credits

Credits fund community rating slots and new chat requests. Before you confirm an upload, reserve more ratings or start a chat, the app shows the applicable cost. The photo total is the selected number of rating slots multiplied by the rate shown in your account.

Allocated rating slots allow an eligible photo to collect community feedback. Timing depends on available raters and audience settings. Photos may also be restricted or removed under the content rules. Additional ratings on an existing photo can be requested through its management options.

Shared browser ratings use a separate allowance. The app explains any eligible reward and its limit. Sharing is subject to the photo's sharing settings and external-rating capacity.

6.3 Expiry and account closure

Check your wallet for the expiry of earned credits. Bonus and purchased balances have no scheduled expiry. Account closure ends access to remaining credits, subject to any mandatory rights or applicable refund entitlement. Deleting a photo does not automatically restore credits already spent on it.

6.4 Purchases, refunds and support

The store shows available packages, currency and price before payment. Mobile payments are processed through Apple or Google, with purchase validation and credit delivery supported by RevenueCat.

For missing credits, check the completed store purchase and your phrodia account, then contact info@phrodia.com with your account identifier and store order reference. Do not repeat a payment while its status is unclear.

Refund requests can be submitted through Apple purchase support or Google Play refund help. You can also contact us about purchase problems. Applicable statutory rights, including rights concerning defective digital services and any applicable withdrawal right, are not excluded by credit use or account closure.

7. Service support and development

We maintain and develop phrodia to support useful feedback and a smooth experience. Updates may improve features, address security issues or adapt the service to technical and legal requirements. Access can be affected by maintenance or interruptions.

Changes to an ongoing digital service follow applicable legal requirements, including any required valid reason, information, notice and rights to end the contract. Mandatory rights concerning availability, conformity, remedies and reimbursement remain available.

8. Closing your account

You can request account deletion in Profile → Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account, or email info@phrodia.com from your account email with your account identifier. You can make an email request without reinstalling the app.

The process includes your account, photos, ratings and conversations. The Privacy Policy explains request handling and retention requirements. Account closure ends access to remaining credits, subject to applicable purchase, refund and statutory rights. Save any results you want to keep before confirming deletion.

We may restrict or end access for a material breach of these terms or where required by law. We consider the circumstances and applicable notice requirements; urgent safety or security concerns may require immediate action. You can request a review using the contact in Section 4.

9. Your legal protections

Statutory rules govern liability and rights concerning defective digital services. Your mandatory remedies remain available.

Responsibility for a breach of these terms or another person's rights is determined under applicable law.

Apple, Google and other external providers have their own terms for their respective sign-in, store and payment services. These operate alongside your applicable rights concerning phrodia.

10. Governing law and resolving concerns

German law governs these terms. Consumers retain the protection of mandatory provisions that apply in their country of habitual residence. Jurisdiction follows applicable statutory rules.

We are neither willing nor required to participate in proceedings before a consumer arbitration body. The European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform closed on July 20, 2025.

11. Updates to these terms

We will communicate material proposed changes and their effective date as required by law. Where agreement is required, we will request it. Continued use alone does not replace consent that the law requires.

The date above identifies this revision. Contact us if you need information about an earlier version. If a provision is ineffective, the consequences are determined by applicable law, including the statutory rules that take its place.
